- The term "Host" refers to our client, a property owner who wishes to rent out or is renting out their property (hereinafter the “Property”) for short-term stays.
- The term "Traveler" refers to the individual renting the Host’s property through the Site.
- The terms "You," "Your," "Yours," and "Users" collectively refer to Hosts, Travelers, and, more broadly, all users of the Site.
1. PROCESSING AND PROTECTION OF HOSTS’ PERSONAL DATA
1.1. WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT?
The Personal Data we collect from Hosts includes:
- Your first and last name(s),
- Your gender,
- Your mailing address,
- Your email address,
- Your phone number(s),
- Your banking details,
- Any other information you may provide while using the Site or our Services.
Hosts provide us with this Personal Data directly by filling out a form on our Site, through a phone call, or by browsing the Site. We also store our communications with Hosts.
1.2. WHY IS YOUR PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED?
Your Personal Data is collected and processed for one or more of the following purposes:
- To create a tailored commercial offer based on the information collected;
- To create rental listings for the Property under our management;
- To share necessary information with our subcontractors and partners involved in the services we offer (payment system, reception, cleaning, laundry, concierge, etc.);
- To identify you in our IT system and link you to the Property under management;
- To carry out operations related to our client management (contract tracking, invoicing, customer relations);
- To manage unpaid invoices and potential disputes related to the use of our Service;
- To maintain a database of users, clients, and prospects;
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
2. PROCESSING AND PROTECTION OF TRAVELERS’ PERSONAL DATA
2.1. WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT?
The Personal Data we collect from Travelers includes:
- Your first and last name(s),
- Your date of birth,
- Your gender,
- Your family composition,
- Your mailing address,
- Your email address,
- Your phone number(s),
- A copy of your identification document,
- Your booking history,
- Your banking details,
- If applicable, specific categories of data such as health-related information (disabilities, allergies, etc.),
- Any other information you may provide while using the Site or our Services.
We may also collect Personal Data from third parties. When you use our Services, you may enter the details of one or more other individuals (such as other travel participants). By doing so, you guarantee TRANQUILLE ÉMILE that the other individuals whose data you provide have been informed about this transmission and have accepted it.

Your Personal Data is collected and processed for one or more of the following purposes:
- To share necessary information with our subcontractors and partners involved in the services we offer (payment system, reception, cleaning, laundry, concierge, etc.);

- To collect and analyze reviews left on the Site;
- To manage unpaid invoices and potential disputes related to the use of our Service;
- To maintain a database of users, clients, and prospects;
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
3. WHAT ABOUT COOKIES?
3.1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are trackers made up of small sets of data stored in the User’s browser. Cookies are very useful as they allow a website to recognize you, log in when you visit a specific page, provide a secure connection to a website, and enhance your user experience by improving your browsing comfort and/or adapting a page’s content to your interests.

We use cookies for operational purposes, statistical analysis and to offer you a customised experience.
Where prior consent is required for their use, the period of validity of consent to the deposit of cookies is 6 months. At the end of this period, we will ask you again for your consent.
The retention period for an audience measurement cookie that does not require consent is 13 months. However, the information collected by means of these cookies is kept by us for a maximum of 25 months, in accordance with the applicable regulations.

4.1. COLLECTION BY TRANQUILLE ÉMILE

- When you request to book a Property through TRANQUILLE ÉMILE;
- When you contact us regarding the rental of your Property;
- When you contact us for information via the contact form on our Site, by phone, or while browsing the Site;
- When you communicate with our teams via email, phone, or WhatsApp regarding an upcoming reservation or during your stay.
At the time of data collection, we will inform you if certain data is mandatory or optional. We will also indicate the possible consequences of failing to provide the requested information.
4.2. COLLECTION BY THIRD PARTIES
We may also obtain information about you from other sources, as detailed below:

5. WHAT ARE THE LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
Each processing activity carried out by TRANQUILLE ÉMILE is based on the following legal grounds:
- The processing is necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation to which we are subject;
- The processing is necessary for the management and execution of the contract(s) between you and us.

6. WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
Your Personal Data are intended for the relevant departments of TRANQUILLE ÉMILE responsible for handling your requests. We ensure that only duly authorized personnel can access your Personal Data when necessary for the aforementioned purposes.
TRANQUILLE ÉMILE commits not to transfer or sell your Personal Data to non-partner third parties.
However, we may share your Personal Data with the following third parties in compliance with applicable laws:
- Our business partners, including service providers for reserved services or technical service providers and subcontractors (IT, hosting, email distribution, online payment providers, etc.). - Rental platforms, if applicable, for the booking of Properties.
- Authorized recipients requesting necessary data to identify and contact the Traveler, particularly in a public health crisis, provided that such data transmission aims to safeguard the vital interests of the Traveler or another person and remains limited to the strictly necessary data.
- Real estate partners, if you have expressed interest in selling your managed Property or renting it for a long-term lease and/or mobility lease, we may also share your contact details with our specialized partners in these fields. - Legally authorized French or foreign authorities (e.g., tax authorities, CNIL), particularly in the context of legal proceedings or requests for information disclosure.
7. THIRD-PARTY SITES AND DATA TRANSFERS
7.1. External Links
The Website may contain links to other websites operated by third parties. Please note that this Privacy Policy applies only to Personal Data collected by TRANQUILLE ÉMILE. We are not responsible for Personal Data that third parties may collect, store, and use on their own websites or applications. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policies of any websites and/or applications you visit.
Additionally, TRANQUILLE ÉMILE is not responsible for hyperlinks leading to the Site that third-party websites and/or applications may include, even if TRANQUILLE ÉMILE has authorized the third-party publisher to place such a link.

For managing customer Personal Data as a data controller, TRANQUILLE ÉMILE works with the following subcontractors:

7.3. Data transfer upon request or judicial decision
The User is informed that TRANQUILLE ÉMILE may be required to disclose collected data to any person upon the request of a governmental authority or by court order.
7.4. Data transfer in the event of a merger or acquisition
If TRANQUILLE ÉMILE is involved in a merger, asset sale, financing transaction, liquidation, bankruptcy, or acquisition of all or part of its business by another company, the User agrees that the collected data may be transferred by TRANQUILLE ÉMILE to the acquiring company, which will then process such Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
8. HOW IS THE SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ENSURED?
As the data controller of your Personal Data, TRANQUILLE ÉMILE implements all necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure the protection of your Personal Data and limits the amount of processed data to what is necessary for the intended purposes.
We have established procedures to address any suspected data security breach and will notify you, along with any relevant regulatory authorities, of a suspected breach where we are legally required to do so.
However, the security of data transmissions over the Internet or data storage systems cannot be guaranteed 100%. If you believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you suspect that an account you have with us has been compromised), please notify us immediately using the contact details provided below.
9. HOW LONG WILL YOUR PERSONAL DATA BE RETAINED BY TRANQUILLE ÉMILE?
We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected them, including to comply with legal or accounting requirements.
We retain Personal Data for the maximum durations outlined below:
9.1. Personal Data of Prospects
Personal Data of non-client prospects may be retained for up to ten (10) years from the date of collection or the last contact initiated by the prospect. After this period, we may contact you again to inquire whether you wish to continue receiving commercial solicitations.
9.2.Personal Data of Hosts
Personal Data of Hosts may be retained for up to ten (10) years from the end of our business relationship (or from the last contact initiated by you after our business relationship ended).
- 10 years for management mandates and invoices (legal obligation).
- In case of legal proceedings, until the complete resolution of the case.
9.3. Personal Data of Travelers
- Personal Data of a user who made a booking request that was not completed may be retained for up to ten (10) years from the last contact between the User and TRANQUILLE ÉMILE.
- Personal Data of a Traveler who has completed at least one booking with TRANQUILLE ÉMILE may be retained for:
- Ten (10) years from the last contact between the User and TRANQUILLE ÉMILE.
- Ten (10) years for rental contracts and invoices (legal obligation).
- Ten (10) years after the end of the stay in the event of bodily harm occurring during the stay (legal obligation);
- In the case of legal proceedings, until the complete conclusion of the procedure.
9.4. Personal Data Related to the Use of Bank Cards
Financial transactions related to the payment of purchases and fees via the Site are entrusted to a payment service provider that ensures their proper execution and security. For the purposes of the services, this payment service provider may receive your Personal Data related to your bank card numbers, which it collects and stores on our behalf. We do not have access to this data.
To allow you to make regular purchases or pay associated fees on the Site, your bank card data is stored for the duration of your registration on the Site and at least until the moment you make your last transaction.
10. WHAT RIGHTS CAN YOU EXERCISE OVER YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
As a data subject, the applicable legislation grants you various rights. These rights are not absolute, and each of them is subject to specific conditions in accordance with the GDPR and applicable national laws.
10.1. Right of Access
You have the right to obtain confirmation from us as to whether or not your Personal Data is being processed, as well as certain additional information (similar to that provided in this Privacy Policy) about how it is being used. You also have the right to access your Personal Data by requesting a copy of the data concerning you. You have the right to obtain and reuse certain Personal Data for your own purposes across different companies (which are separate data controllers). This applies only to Personal Data that you have provided to us, which we process with your consent and for contract execution purposes, and that is processed by automated means. You have the right to object to certain types of processing, based on reasons related to your particular situation, at any time, where such processing is carried out for TRANQUILLE ÉMILE’s legitimate interests. The Commission Nationale Informatique et Libertés (CNIL) is the lead data protection authority for TRANQUILLE ÉMILE.
